When I first saw these, I was all "huh?". But now that I've had a chance to mull it over...yeah these make perfect sense for the brand. And they'd make a fantastic research and development platform for electric powerplants...
I have to admit, I saw these and thought the same thing, "eerm?" Then after I'd mulled it for a bit I still think, "eerk?"
I dig a scooter, but not as an extension of a car line, especially when their core customers are getting older, as evidenced by the Countryman expansion.
Note sure when or if these will become production models, but I'm all about a solid brand doing a variation on a theme—for both practical and fun reasons. It's funny, we see motorcycles sporting Roundels all the time and don't think anything of it. But when we see scooters sporting MINI badges, it's definitely weird at first glance : )

When are these concepts going to become realities?
